Why a hidden shackle is the most secure padlock design

This is the whole point of the A2010, and it's worth understanding. A hidden shackle padlock turns that around. The shackle is short and recessed inside the thick steel body, so when the lock is closed around a matching hasp, there's no exposed metal to cut, pry, or shim.
