Corbin Russwin ML20932 NSM SAF Electrically Controlled Mortise Lock - Double Cylinder - Fail Safe - NSM Lever

The Corbin Russwin ML20932 SAF is a fail safe electrically controlled mortise lock from the Corbin Russwin ML20900 ECL Series. It operates on the double cylinder function with both grips locked when energized, and unlocks both inside and outside levers when power is removed. This is the SAF (fail safe) configuration: power applied locks the door, and power loss unlocks it. The ML20932 SAF is the correct specification for tenant space entries, pharmacies, computer rooms, research labs, stairwell re-entry doors, and any high-security opening where a building code or fire alarm integration requires the door to unlock freely on power failure or fire alarm activation.

Function: Both Grips Locked When Energized, Double Cylinder Override

The ML20932 function locks both the inside and outside levers electrically when the actuator is energized. Neither grip operates the latchbolt while the actuator is active. The double cylinder designation means both outside and inside cylinders can override the electrical lock state with a mechanical key at any time, on either side of the door. This is what distinguishes the ML20932 from the ML20914 (single cylinder, outside only) and the ML20907 (no cylinder override at all). The double cylinder override is specified for openings where interior personnel also need mechanical key access, such as secured stairwells and double-locked tenant spaces.

The internal M92 request to exit switch option is available for access control integration and alarm shunting.

ML20900 ECL Series: Integral Actuator and EcoFlex Technology

This is critical for battery backup and fire alarm integration circuits where continuous draw affects system design. Operating voltage is 12-24VDC, accepting either voltage without modification. The unit is also field configurable between fail safe and fail secure modes without opening the lock case, which gives facilities managers the ability to change the failure mode if the access control specification changes after installation.
