The LCN 2034 H is a Grade 1 heavy-duty concealed-in-frame door closer built for aluminum storefront doors in size 4 applications. The "H" designation means this unit ships with a factory-included hold-open clip and track bumper kit. What Is the LCN 2034 H Bumper

The LCN 2034 H is the size 4 concealed overhead closer in the 2030 PACER Series with the hold-open clip and bumper package included. Unlike surface-mounted closers that sit visibly on the door or jamb, the 2034 is fully concealed inside the aluminum transom tube above the door. Only the arm comes down to engage a track recessed into the top rail of the glass door. That means you get full commercial-grade hydraulic door control without any visible hardware on the door face, which matters for architectural storefronts, bank branches, hotel lobbies, healthcare entries, and office tower main entrances where aesthetics are part of the spec. The "H" variant adds the hold-open feature plus a physical bumper stop at the end of travel.

Hold-Open Clip and Track Bumper Explained

The hold-open clip mounts inside the track and creates a friction hold point. Slide the clip along the track to set where you want the door to park open, typically somewhere between 85 and 110 degrees depending on the opening condition and clearance requirements. The track bumper is the other piece in the kit. It mounts inside the track at the end-of-travel point and serves two functions: it assists the hydraulic backcheck by providing a physical stop, and it limits maximum opening to protect the closer and the arm from over-swing damage. Important code note: hold-open functions are not permitted on fire-rated openings. For fire doors, order the LCN 2034 STD without the hold-open variant.

LCN 2034 Handing and Finishes

The 2034 H ships are handed, so you must specify right hand (RH) or left hand (LH) at checkout. Handling is determined by which side the door is hinged and which direction it swings from the outside perspective. Get it wrong and the closer will not function, so confirm before ordering. Two finishes are available: ALUM 689 Aluminum (standard for clear-anodized or mill-finish aluminum storefronts) and DKBRZ 695 Dark Bronze (for dark bronze anodized frames). Match the finish to your transom and framing system for a unified architectural look.
